“Echt chill”

Being a foreigner I didn’t really understand the word “chill” but I heard it a lot during my week in Risoul and now I can say that this trip was SUPER CHILL.

I’m also pretty new to Avalanche and snowboarding in general, but from the moment I got onto the bus none of that mattered because everyone was there for the same reasons: to board, learn and have fun with each other!

Once we arrived I was immediately adopted into the SPIN and DROP families of floor B4 and I ended up taking lessons with my new friends! Our awesome teacher, Fred, really seemed to enjoy pushing me outside of my comfort zone which made every lesson seem like a new adventure.
Afterwards, everyone I met on the slope was really cool about helping me out and giving me tips. The fun didn’t stop after the lifts closed, either!
The evenings were filled with competitions, parties, apres-ski, sledding and a random massive snowball fight! I was so impressed watching the talent at the competition in the night park!!! It was really motivational, too.

I loved the dinners, games and parties to help us get out all the remaining excitement from the day.

Nothing helps shake off leftover adrenaline quite like dancing in your snow boots or screaming Dutch karaoke.

I absolutely cannot wait until next year!
